I am a User Experience Designer for State Farm with a focus on crafting meaningful web experiences. I also collaborate on a wide range of projects with students and companies at EnterpriseWorks, a business incubator for early stage tech firms in the U of I Research Park.
I received a Master's of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2018. My master’s research centered on empathic and human-centered design. For my thesis, I explored ways to promote wellness and knowledge and reduce the stigma surrounding sexuality by using a mobile platform to create accessible sexual education.
I was a UX Design intern at State Farm's Research and Development Center in the U of I Research Park from 2016 - 2018. As a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Illinois, I taught Human-Centered Product Design and was a TA for Professional Design Practice.
I hold a dual degree Bachelor of Arts in European Studies and Italian from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to commencing my master's study, I worked in health care for seven years and developed an understanding of women's health issues, physician-patient relationships, and the complex dynamics of ambulatory medical environments.
