About

Hello! I’m Gina (she/her). I live in Austin with 3 fluff beasts: Dante, Cookie Monster, and Prancer Amaretto Biscotto. I am fluent in English and Italian.

I’m a Senior Product Designer and UX Strategist at HPE, crafting strategies and experiences that address user needs, produce customer-focused outcomes, and exceed business goals for end-to-end as-a-service offerings.

I collaborate on a wide range of projects with startups and small businesses and volunteer regularly, building websites for non-profit organizations.

I received an MFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2018. My master’s research centered on empathic and human-centered design. For my thesis, I explored ways to promote wellness and knowledge and reduce the stigma surrounding sexuality by using a mobile platform to create accessible sexual education.

I taught Human-Centered Product Design and was a TA for Professional Design Practice the University of Illinois while pursuing my Master’s degree.

I hold a dual degree BA in European Studies and Italian from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to commencing my master's study, I worked in health care for seven years and developed an understanding of women's health issues, physician-patient relationships, and the complex dynamics of ambulatory medical environments.
