I’m Gina Taylor

I don’t just design screens; I build frameworks for success. With 10+ years of experience and an MFA in Industrial Design, I specialize in Agentic AI, Outcome-Driven Design, and inclusive UX strategy.

I leverage a neurodivergent lens to solve complex problems others miss—turning cognitive diversity into a competitive advantage. My approach is high-velocity and outcome-focused, ensuring every design choice serves both the user's needs and the company's bottom line.

What sets me apart

🦾

Agentic AI & Intelligent Systems

I specialize in the burgeoning field of Agentic AI, moving beyond simple prompts to design sophisticated, multi-step autonomous workflows. I solve the unique UX challenges of intelligent systems—managing user trust, designing for "hallucination" safeguards, and creating intuitive interfaces for human-in-the-loop (HITL) interactions. I ensure AI feels like a seamless extension of user intent.

🧠

Strategic Vision & The Neurodivergent Edge

As a neurodivergent designer, I perceive the architecture of the "box" differently. This perspective allows me to solve complex UX puzzles with non-linear innovation, ensuring that "edge cases" are treated as essential human needs. I specialize in "North Star" visioning, creating the strategic blueprints that guide products from messy early-stage discovery to polished, market-leading ecosystems.

🎯

Outcome-Driven Innovation

I believe great design is only successful if it moves the needle. I don’t just track "outputs" (features delivered); I track "outcomes" (problems solved). By aligning design sprints with business KPIs—such as increasing CSAT scores or completion rates—I ensure every design decision provides a clear, measurable Return on Investment (ROI) for stakeholders.

♿️

Clinical Empathy & Accessibility (a11y)

My design philosophy is grounded in seven years of healthcare experience and an MFA in Industrial Design. This background taught me to navigate high-stakes environments where clarity and WCAG 2.1 compliance are requirements, not afterthoughts. I advocate for inclusive design, believing that when we design for the differently-abled, we create a superior experience for everyone.

🤝

Cross-Functional Partnership & Handoff

I operate as a bridge between Product, Engineering, and Business. By embedding directly with technical teams and leveraging my front-end knowledge, I streamline workflows and translate complex business requirements into intuitive layouts. I focus on "developer-ready" documentation that ensures the brand’s soul remains intact from Figma to the final codebase.

⚡️

AI-Augmented Workflow & Velocity

I incorporate AI deeply into my own process to amplify speed and quality. From using AI to synthesize massive sets of qualitative research data to leveraging generative tools for rapid wireframing and accessibility auditing, I bypass the "blank canvas" stage. This allows me to deliver enterprise-grade results on startup timelines without sacrificing quality.

Fluff Beasts Manager

While I lead design strategy by day, I report directly to three demanding stakeholders at home: Dante, Cookie Monster, and Prancer Amaretto Biscotto. These three "fluff beasts" oversee my Austin home office, ensuring that every design sprint includes a mandatory 5-minute treat break. They are excellent at identifying "bugs"—mostly the flying kind.

Caffe Connoisseur

I’m equally at home navigating a complex user flow as I am navigating the streets of Sicily. Being fluent in English and Italian is more than just a skill; it’s a gateway to my family and heritage. I travel back to Italy as often as possible to recharge, drink proper espresso, and remind myself that the best "user experiences" usually happen around a dinner table.

Empathic Creative

My passion for human-centered design often spills over into "feline-centered" art. I’m a regular at Austin markets, selling everything from quirky cat sculptures and paintings to stickers and t-shirts. Whether I’m experimenting with physical clay or digital brushes, I’m obsessed with exploring new media to see how creativity can make people smile.

High notes & hardcovers

If I’m not in my art studio experimenting with a new art medium or bringing joy to cat lovers, I’m likely holding a book or a microphone. My life is balanced by a constantly growing reading list and a deep, unapologetic love for singing and karaoke. I find that both require the same thing: the ability to read the room and the courage to take the stage.
